What to expect:

  • It is important to read the Guidelines for the guidance on you exterior home improvement.

  • When your plans are received, they are checked for complete information and samples, then dated and added to the agenda for the next ARC meeting held the first Thursday of every month.

  • The plans are reviewed by LA2 homeowner volunteers known as the Architectural Review Committee or ARC.

  • If there is more information needed or if the information is unclear, the Committee may call you or your contractor for clarification or deny your application.  The homeowner will then have until the next meeting to provide the missing information.

  • The Committee ( as stated in our CCRs ) has 30 days after the receipt of your application to review and render a decision.

  • If the work being applied for is changing the footprint of the existing home, review will require the full 30 days after the receipt of your application to review and render a decision.

  • You will receive a letter in the mail with the decision, within a few days following the meeting.

  • If work is done in advance of receiving ARC approval, you may be required to remove the improvement, at the cost of the homeowner, if it doesn't comply with the Guidelines.
